Amus College learns opponents at 2026 CAF African Schools Football Championships

Uganda’s representatives at the 2026 CAF African Schools Football Championship Amus College School has learnt their opponents.

This followed a draw held on Wednesday, 2nd September 2026 in Rwanda’s capital, Kigali.

The Boys will play alongside Somalia, South Sudan and Burundi during the U-15 tournament.

Amus College School girls’ team will face hosts Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan.

The tournament kicks off on 3rd September 2026 at the Kigali Pele Stadium.

Amus College School earned the tickets to represent Uganda after winning the boys’ and girls’ U-15 football tournaments held in Gulu during the USSSA Ball Games II championship.

They beat St Mary’s Kitende and St Noa Girls Zana in the boys and girls’ finals respectively.

Former Uganda international right back Richard Malinga handles the boys’ team whilst Frank “Video” Anyau is in charge of the girls.

They were officially flagged from the Parliament of Uganda on Sunday, 30th August 2026 with a donation of Ug.Shs 10,000,000 by the Speaker Rt Hon. Jacob Oboth Oboth.

The CAF African Schools’ Football Championship is organized by CAF in conjunction with the Motsepe Foundation.
