Maroons, Ntugasaze target victory to rebound from opener

Ntugasaze lock horns with wounded Maroons at the Police Arena in Kamwokya on Wednesday desperate to get off the mark.

The league debutants got their 2026/27 to a bad start losing 1-0 to fellow newcomers Blacks Powers in Hoima and will look to make amends.

Pius Ngabo and staff know the importance of starting high especially for a newly promoted side and will hope for points.

Their day’s opponents Maroons are also equally desperate for all points having started their season on a losing note.

Despite taking a first half lead on day one, they lost 2-1 to four-time champions URA in the end which makes this clash a must win for the Prison Warders.

The visitors will hope Darius Ojok, Abel Eturude and Marvin Oshaba are in good shape and perform to their excellent best.

Elsewhere, Police travel to Hoima City where Blacks Power are lurking.

The two sides won their respective first matches with Cops buoyed by new partners Yaobai cement who are sponsoring the club to the tune of Ugx. 450 million per season.
