Striker Isaac Wagoina returns to Express

Isaac Wagoina has returned to Express FC for his second stint after two seasons. The striker joined BUL FC in July 2024 on a two-year deal from the Red Eagles.

Following expiration of his contract last month, the Jinja-based side deemed him surplus to requirement and was among the ten players that were released by the club.

Wagoina originall joined Express FC at the start of the 2023/24 season and he had a remarkable campaign, scoring 14 goals and registering three assists in 29 games.

It is such performance that prompted BUL to buy him but in the two seasons he has been with the Eastern Giants, he didn’t exactly replicate that performance.

Before playing for Express and BUL, Wagoina had also featured for Busoga United in the Uganda Premeir League.

He becomes the first player to be officially unveiled by the Red Eagles who have already seen several players leave.

Under new coach Morley Byekwaso, the club is expected to embark on a restructuring plan that will see several new faces added.
