Israel Opens Embassy in Rwanda
Israel has opened its first embassy in Rwanda with the appointment of Ambassador Ron Adam.
Speaking on the occasion Adam stated, “Israel shares a lot of similarities with Rwanda and I am excited to be my first country’s representative here.”
“For mutual cooperation, I will to improve smart agriculture in Rwanda, share ICT in cyber security and innovation as well support Rwandan start-ups with our ecosystems in Israel,” he added.
Adam previously served as the Special Envoy on Energy and OECD coordinator at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The move comes following meetings between President Kagame and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as an announcement by RwandAir that it intends to commence direct flights to Israel.
