Nairobi police officers caught on camera stealing phone, money from M-Pesa shop, bar

A business woman in Nairobi's Kasarani estate is living in fear after unknown number of police officers broke into her premise and made way with money and phone on Saturday, August 24. Wanjiru Karikui accused the officers of stealing unknown amount of money and a mobile phone from her M-Pesa shop and bar and later threatened her with dire consequences should she report. The cops who were caught on CCTV camera dressed in police uniforms as seen in a video shared by NTV on Thursday, August 29.

According to Wanjiru and herbartender, the officers claimed they were on patrol and suspected some criminals could be hiding inside the building housing bar and M-pesa. Wanjiru holds that her woes started when she refused to pay KSh 1,000 monthly to her tormentors for ' security and protection at night.
