Uganda Airlines Set August 28 Launch Date

On August 28 Uganda Airline will launch four routes, the first for the national carrier in twenty years.

The routes include two daily flights to Nairobi and Juba, one daily flight to Dar es Salaam and four weekly flights to Mogadishu on the airlines Bombardier CRJ 900s. 

The airline also has plans to add Bujumbura, Mombasa and Kilimanjaro to its list of destinations next month, following the planned arrival of two additional aircraft.

During the first two months the airline is offering promotional rates on its flights.

Looking further afield, Uganda Airlines is looking to acquire landing rights for Lusaka, Harare, Johannesburg, Accra and India and has made a down payment of US$20 million on two Airbus A330-800neos suitable for longer haul flights.
